The Oak for Orchestra

$32.00

By Florence Price | Edited by Ronald Krentzman | Duration: ca. 13 min.

The Oak (1943) is a rather mysterious piece whose manuscript was discovered at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester during the late 1990s. A departure from her often cozy, folk-influenced style, The Oak contains both dark, foreboding rumblings and high-floating dreams, fitting for the aged, gnarled roots of an old oak tree.
