The Concert-Ouverture in D was composed in 1873 and then later revised (date unknown); both manuscripts survive at the Statens Musikbibliotek in Stockholm. The only known performance of this work during Andrée’s lifetime was in Berlin in 1888, probably conducted by Andrée herself. Herein is the first critical edition of the composition. It enabled the Walla Walla Symphony to perform it, in 1998, for the first time after languishing in an archive for over 100 years. Other performances occurred in 1999 with the Swedish Radio Orchestra and 2014 with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
